According to the March issue of Men’s Fitness Magazine, Minneapolis ranks 4th among all the cities in the nation for being the most fit. The non-scientific survey examines lifestyle factors in each city: fast-food restaurants per capita, availability of gyms or bike paths, commute times, how much television watching Nielsen records, federal health statistics on obesity-related injuries and illnesses. Of course this is not news to us, cities in Minnesota often rank well in national surveys. Eden Prairie just recently was listed as one of the best cities to live in the nation by Money Magazine.

Other cities that fall into the top 10 fittest are Albuquerque, Seattle, Colorado Springs, Minneapolis,Tucson, Ariz., Denver, San Francisco, Baltimore, Portland, Ore., and Honolulu.
